Senator Johnson Commemorates Veterans Day

Statement

Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following message commemorating Veterans Day:

"It is an honor to thank the finest among us, the men and women who serve in our armed forces. They are keeping faith with the more than one million Americans who died while preserving this nation over more than two centuries. We and generations to come are the beneficiaries of their service - our gratitude is only the beginning of what we owe them.

"We should also take time today to thank the families of our servicemen and women who share in this selfless service and sacrifice.

"Our defenders took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. May we all dedicate ourselves to that goal, all doing our parts to keep our nation free. It's the least we can do in thanks to our veterans and in remembrance of their sacrifices."
