United States Representative Virginia Foxx (NC-05) has endorsed Phil Berger for Congress. Foxx had represented many parts of the newly redistricted 6th Congressional District.

"Phil is a great conservative and he would add to our already stellar conservative delegation in Congress," Rep. Foxx said. "I know he will hit the ground running and work well with our Members to serve the people of this district and the state of North Carolina."

Having represented parts of the 6th District, it is an area I care deeply about," Foxx continued. "I believe Phil is best suited to represent them and I look forward to serving with him."

"I am very honored to have earned Congresswoman Foxx's endorsement," Phil Berger said. "Virginia continues to fight tirelessly for our state's values and it's hardworking families. She has shown great conservative leadership and has often led the charge against Obama and his harmful, big-government policies. Virginia has been a good friend and I look forward to working closely with her to fight for our North Carolina values."

Congresswoman Foxx joins Reps. Howard Coble (NC-06), Mark Meadows (NC-11), and Patrick McHenry (NC-10) in support of Phil Berger. Described by the American Conservative Union as one of Congress's "best and brightest" Members, she was ranked by the nonpartisan National Journal as the North Carolina delegation's most conservative Member. She has authored numerous pieces of legislation, which have helped America's military men and women and have reduced government regulation on North Carolina's small businesses. She and her husband, Tom, have been married for nearly 50 years and reside in Avery County.
