Mary Frances Forrester Endorses Phil Berger for Congress

Press Release

Date: June 13, 2014

Mary Frances Forrester has endorsed Phil Berger for Congress. Ms. Forrester is a well-known conservative public policy advocate in North Carolina.

"With our moral values rapidly declining in this country, we need to send conservative leaders to Washington who will stand up for the family and the sanctity of life," Forrester said. "Phil showed his dedication to fighting for our North Carolina values when we passed the Marriage Amendment in 2012, and I know he will continue to protect traditional marriage and the unborn as our next Representative. He is exactly the kind of leader the people of the 6th District need and I am proud to support him.

"I am humbled and honored to have earned the support of Ms. Forrester," Phil Berger said. "Both her organization and her family have been instrumental in the protection of the family here in North Carolina. I look forward to working closely with her to fight for our values and defend traditional marriage."

Mary Frances Forrester has long been a conservative leader in the state of North Carolina. She and her late husband, State Sen. Jim Forrester (R-Lincoln), were instrumental in passing the Marriage Protection Amendment to the North Carolina Constitution in 2012. She is currently the Associate Director at Concerned Women for America of North Carolina, whose national association is the largest women's public policy organization in the nation.
