Summerfield Councilwomen Endorse Phil Berger

Local officials continue to line up in support of Phil Berger for Congress, with Summerfield Town Councilwomen Alicia Flowers and Elizabeth McClellan announcing their support of Phil Berger Tuesday.
"Phil Berger is a man I can trust. Phil keeps his promises, will stand up for the taxpayers by cutting government waste, and as an experienced prosecutor can ask the tough questions in Washington to hold government accountable," Councilwoman Flowers said. "I urge all voters to join me in supporting Phil Berger for Congress. Vote Phil Berger on July 15th."
Councilwoman McClellan said, "After careful consideration of the Congressional candidates for the July runoff, I endorse Phil Berger. Phil's stance on issues of amnesty, taxes, and gun rights is more aligned with my own and, I believe, with the majority of the constituents in the 6th District. Howard Coble has served the district so honorably and Phil is the most qualified to continue his tradition."

"Both Alicia and Elizabeth are committed public servants who care deeply about their community. A proud wife, mother, and grandmother, Alicia Flowers is currently in her second four-year term as an elected member of the Summerfield Town Council.
Elizabeth McClellan was elected to the Summerfield Town Council in 2011. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Meredith College and an MBA from the University of Houston. Elizabeth resides in Summerfield with her husband of 18 years and 4 children.
Flowers and McClellan join a long list of elected officials in Guilford County to support Phil Berger, including Greensboro City Councilman Tony Wilkins, Oak Ridge Town Councilman George McClellan, State Sen. Trudy Wade, and U.S. Representative Howard Coble.
