Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement today to mark the start of Ramadan, which begins today at sunset:
"As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Jennifer and I extend our best wishes to Muslims in Michigan and across the country. Throughout this holiday, I hope your days are filled with prayer and reflection. Ramadan is a time of happiness for communities to gather together in order to cherish family and friends and to help those in need.
"I wish Muslims across America and around the world a blessed month filled with peace and wisdom. Ramadan Mubarak!"
