Michigan has abundant natural resources, a talented workforce and a proud history of innovation that can help spur new jobs while also helping to solve our nation's energy needs by responsibly harnessing domestic energy sources.

Already, Michigan leads the nation in clean energy jobs, and Gary is working to grow this sector and improve energy efficiency.

Gary has worked with U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow to promote advanced vehicle manufacturing and alternative energy production. He's advocated for government fleets to transition to hybrid vehicles that will save 1 million gallons of gas per year.

With the right kind of targeted investment, Michigan can continue to pave the way in new domestic sources of energy and cutting-edge energy efficiency technologies to create new good-paying jobs and set the standard across the country and the world.

That's why Gary will fight to invest in innovation happening here in Michigan instead of extending tax subsidies to Big Oil companies that already make huge profits.

Michigan is a perfect mix of natural beauty and abundant resources. Gary believes we have to protect our public lands, be responsible with our resources, and invest in an all-of-the-above approach to enhancing domestic sources of energy and creating new jobs.
