Issue Position: Right To Work

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2014
Issues: Labor Unions

I believe it is vitally important that New Hampshire becomes a Right to Work state. We need to do everything we can to encourage New Hampshire businesses to expand here and to entice businesses from around the country to move here.

One of the things I hear from business leaders time and time again is the importance to a growing economy of New Hampshire passing strong Right to Work legislation.

I pledge, if elected to the State Senate, I will:

Support efforts to enact a state Right to Work law
Support legislation that puts an end to monopoly bargaining over government employees by union officials
Oppose legislation to re-instate "card check"
Work to ban Project Labor Agreements. This ban would level the playing field between union and non-union companies when bidding for state construction projects.
