The National Rifle Association (NRA) today endorsed Rod Blum for Congress in the 1st District. Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Blum has earned an "AQ" rating from the NRA in the 2014 election cycle. An "AQ" is reserved for a pro-gun candidate whose rating is based on pro-gun responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and is the highest rating a candidate can receive without a voting record on Second Amendment issues.
"I am honored to have the support of the NRA," said Blum. "As a longtime member of the NRA I have tremendous respect for the hard work they put in every day to defend the rights of gun owners across America, and I look forward to standing alongside them in Congress to protect the Second Amendment."
Blum's endorsement today comes from the NRA Political Victory Fund, the organization's political action committee. NRA members in Iowa's 1st Congressional District will work hard this year to send Rod Blum to Congress to uphold the Constitution and protect their 2nd Amendment Rights.
