Southerland Votes to Approve Keystone XL Pipeline

U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland, II issued the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 5682, a bill to approve the Keystone XL pipeline by a bipartisan vote of 252-161:
"I applaud the House for coming together in a strong bipartisan fashion today in approving the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. In spite of the American people's overwhelming support, President Obama has deliberately derailed Keystone's construction for the past six years. Enough is enough. It's time the President and Senate put politics aside and join the House in approving this common-sense effort to create good-paying jobs and lower energy costs for hardworking families across America."
