McKinley Announces Veterans Jobs Fair

Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E., (WV-1) announced his office will host a jobs fair for veterans on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Morgantown from 3-6PM. This is the third jobs fair hosted by the Congressman's office. Previous events have included dozens of employers and attracted hundreds of job-seeking veterans.

"Helping Veterans find jobs is simply the right thing to do," said Rep. McKinley. "This event will bring together hard-working and skilled veterans with prospective employers looking to hire."

Our veterans have sacrificed to ensure our safety and security," added McKinley, "and we owe it to them to make every opportunity available."

As of 2013, 11.4% of West Virginians were veterans, with an unemployment rate of 6.4%, slightly above the state unemployment rate of 6.0%.

The Veterans Jobs Fair hosted by Rep. McKinley's office will take place at the West Virginia University's Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown, WV.
