Congressman Xavier Becerra (CA-34), Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, released the following statement welcoming Phillip Washington as the new CEO of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority:
"I'm pleased to welcome Philip Washington as the new CEO of L. A. Metro. Metro is transforming our daily commutes across the Los Angeles region, spearheading critical transit projects supported by billions in federal investments. I look forward to partnering with Mr. Washington so that we can continue bringing federal dollars back home, create jobs, and keep Angelenos moving."
