Rep. Jenkins Statement on Upper Big Branch Anniversary

Statement

U.S Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement on the anniversary of the Upper Big Branch explosion:

"My thoughts and prayers are with the families, neighbors and our West Virginia coal miners ahead of tomorrow's anniversary of the Upper Big Branch mine disaster. Five years ago, we lost twenty-nine heroes. These proud fathers, sons, and husbands leave a legacy that we cannot forget. We must, and will, always remember all who have lost their lives working to provide a better future for their families and to provide for our country. We must also do all we can to ensure our coal miners always return home safely."
