Issue Position: Karl's Vision for District 46

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2015

After prayerful consideration and the many words of encouragement given me, I am formally announcing my candidacy for the office of State Representative for District 46.

Over the past several months, I have been approached by many voters within District 46 asking me to consider this run. Among these voters were businessmen, businesswomen, cattlemen, farmers, bankers, ministers, and simply friends. Having lived here my entire life and working in Winona for 30 years, I realize, as do these voters, the importance of keeping District 46 aligned with the likeminded conservative values that make this great state business friendly.

One of my late father's favorite sayings, "Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal (Z. Ziglar)," has never rung more true than it will in this election's primary on August 4. You might question, "What should be our goals?" I'd like to ask voters to consider this--our priority as a legislative branch should be to continue to provide an environment in our state that is conducive to industrial growth. We are fortunate to live in a state that overwhelmingly supports this belief.

As a Republican candidate for your District 46 Representative, I would like to ask for your vote of confidence on August 4. Let's send a resonating message across Mississippi that District 46 stands conservatively prepared to strive to provide its people an atmosphere inviting to industry so that all who want to, can provide for their children and their children's children.

On August 4, please join me in sending the message,
"Welcome to Mississippi; we're open for business," by voting in the Republican primary and electing me as your next State Representative.
