Vote to pass a bill that repeals the prohibition on construction of nuclear power facilities.
Highlights:
-Authorizes the Public Service Commission to certify a nuclear power facility if it finds the following (Sec. 2):
- -The plan for storage of high-level nuclear waste for the nuclear facility to be certified is in "full conformity" with technology approved by the authorized agency of the U.S. Government; and
-The cost of storage of high-level nuclear waste is known with "reasonable certainty."
