5 Ways to Help

We defend fellow citizens' right to the facts. Every fact, every spoken word, every position, every vote, every funder, every biographical detail amassed in easy-to-use, interactive tools.

1) Support our Students, Volunteers and Staff

With a tax-deductible membership contribution. Members receive regular updates, newsletters and our Voter's Self-Defense Manual — a review of your congressional delegation's actions.

2) Become an Ambassador

It has taken more than 10,000 citizens working on Vote Smart to defend each citizen's right to the truth. We need you to sign up and represent us! Ambassadors show Vote Smart's four-minute film to community groups and share our informative brochures, posters and entertaining videos. Contact us to get started!

4) Become a Vote Smart Intern

The Vote Smart Internship Program provides unique lessons in the study of American politics from a nonpartisan angle. Interns play a crucial role at Vote Smart. The individual talents, ideas and hard work of our interns have been instrumental in the success of many of our most important programs. If you are interested in making a genuine contribution to our nation in an idealistic and positive environment and getting college credits for the effort, join us. Many of our interns have returned as Vote Smart staff.

3) Leave a Legacy

Legacy gifts provide a major part of our student, volunteer and staff support. If you are interested in leaving a legacy through Bequests, Memorials, Securities, Life Insurance Benefits, Real Estate, Retirement Benefits or other planned giving options, and would like additional information contact the Membership Department at 515-989-6363 or membership@votesmart.org
