Title: Establishes Collective Bargaining Procedures for Certain Child Care Providers
Vote to repass a bill, after having concurred with House amendments thereto, that authorizes collective bargaining for family child care providers that are participants in the Maryland Child Care Subsidy Program, beginning July 1, 2010.
-Authorizes family child care providers to engage in collective bargaining with the State (Sec. 1). -Defines a "family child care provider" as an individual that participates in the Maryland Child Care Subsidy Program and meets one of the following requirements (Sec. 1):
