Reduces the percentage of energy that an electric company must provide using renewable energy resources in certain years including, but not limited to, the following years (Sec.1):
From 3.5 percent to 2.5 percent by the end of 2015;
From 4.5 percent to 2.5 percent by the end of 2016;
From 5.5 percent to 3.5 percent by the end of 2017;
From 6.5 percent to 4.5 percent by the end of 2018;
From 7.5 percent to 5.5 percent by the end of 2019; and
From 25 percent to 12.5 percent by the end of 2026 and each calendar year thereafter.
Extends the date when a utility company must implement renewable energystandards by 2 years from 2025 to 2027 (Sec. 1).
Authorizes a customer to opt out of the utility's comprehensive energy efficiency and peak-demand reduction program (Sec. 1).
