Title: Prohibits Government Interference with Religious Practice
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the government from any action that would interfere with an individual's exercise of religion.
Specifies that this applies to any exercise of religion, whether or not it’s compelled by or central to a system of religious beliefs (Sec. 2).
Exempts situations involving a compelling government interest as long as the limitation imposed by government is of the least restrictive means of achieving that interest (Sec. 2).
Authorizes an individual whose exercise of religion has been infringed upon by government to assert the violation as a claim or defense in court (Sec. 2).
