Vote to pass a bill that establishes a medical marijuana program.
Establishes a medical marijuana program for patients suffering from “serious medical conditions” (Sec. 301).
Defines “serious medical conditions,” as including, but not limited to, the following conditions (Sec. 103):
Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome;
Authorizes medical marijuana organizations to grow, acquire, possess, manufacture, sell, deliver, transport, distribute, and dispense medical marijuana (Sec. 701).
Specifies that medical marijuana may only be administered to a patient in the following forms (Sec. 502):
A form medically appropriate for administration by vaporization or nebulization;
Prohibits an individual from smoking medical marijuana, incorporating medical marijuana into edible form for purposes other than aiding ingestion, and growing medical marijuana without registration (Sec. 504).
Requires the program to be administered by the Department of Health (Sec. 301).
