Title: Prohibits Dilation-and-Evacuation Abortions
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the dilation-and-evacuation procedure for an abortion.
Authorizes a parent of a minor who has undergone a dilation-and-evacuation abortion to sue the physician who performed the procedure for damages (Sec. 1).
Specifies that physicians can be charged in court up to 1 year after performing a dilation-and-evacuation abortion (Sec. 1).
Prohibits employees, pharmacists or patients acting under the direction of a physician who performs a dilation-and-evacuation abortion from being charged in court for the offense (Sec. 1).
Prohibits the sale, dispensation, and administration of mifepristone for the purpose of inducing an abortion unless the individual doing so is a physician who has met the specified federal prescribing requirements (Sec. 1).
Requires physicians to provide the state medical board with a written report of any incident involving a patient who has an adverse reaction to mifepristone including hospitalization, severe bleeding, or an incomplete abortion (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the unlawful distribution of mifepristone and performance of a dilation-and-evacuation abortion are both considered 4th degree felonies (Sec. 1).
