Title: Prohibits the Waste of Game Animals
Vote to pass a bill that classifies the wasting of game as a misdemeanor.
Defines “wasting” to include removing from the game solely any or all of the following parts (Article 2):
Head;
Hide;
Feet or paws;
Claws;
Antlers or tusks;
Gallbladder;
Teeth;
Feathers;
Fan;
Beard; or
Spurs.
Defines “wasting” further as intentionally disposing of game suitable for food outdoors, abandoning killed or wounded game without attempting to retrieve it, or to transport or store game in a manner that makes it unsuitable for consumption (Article 2).
Requires a fine of between $500 and $2500 or imprisonment of between 10 and 100 days for wasting of big game (Article 2).
Requires a fine of between $100 or $1000 or imprisonment of between 10 and 100 days for wasting of all other game (Article 2).
Exempts fur-bearing animals, woodchucks, and groundhogs from the provisions of this legislation (Article 2).
