Title: Amends Alcoholic Beverage Laws

Vote to pass a bill that amends alcoholic beverage laws.

Highlights:

 

  • Defines “alcoholic candy” as any candy for purpose of sale at retail with an alcoholic content greater than 1% alcohol by volume (Sec. 1).

  • Increases qualifications for domestic beer, labeling it as a beer that contains no more than 15% alcohol by weight and is manufactured in state (Sec. 1).

  • Repeals Sunday restrictions on farm wineries, microbreweries, and microdistilleries, allowing them to be open anytime between 6 AM and midnight on any day (Sec. 3).

  • Authorizes a microbrewery license to allow the sale of beer manufactured by the licensee, if in refillable and sealable containers that contain between 32 to 64 fluid ounces and are properly labeled (Sec. 4). 

  • Authorizes a microbrewery license to allow the transfer of beer and hard cider to a contracting microbrewery (Sec. 4).

  • Prohibits automated devices without first providing written or electronic notification to the director of the licensee (Sec. 7).

  • Requires constant video monitoring of any self-service wine or beer customer stations (Sec. 7).
