Vote to concur with Senate amendment and pass a bill that authorizes the DMV to renew and replace limited-term driver's licenses for DACA recipients whose status may have been altered due to federal immigration policy changes.

Highlights:

• Specifies that an individual is not required to prove their legal presence in the United States when applying for a limited-term identification card, a limited-term driver license, or a limited-term driver permit if (Sec. 3):

• The Department of Transportation previously issued a limited-term identification card, a limited-term driver license, or a limited-term driver permit to the applicant;

• The applicant shows an Employment Authorization Document issued under category C33, A12, or C19; and

• The Employment Authorization Document of the applicant expired on or after August 1, 2014.

• Repeals section 3 on December 31, 2021 (Sec. 4).

• Declares the existence of an emergency and specifies that this Act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety (Sec. 7).
