Vote to pass a bill that increases the state minimum wage to $9.50, effective January 1, 2020.

Highlights:

• Requires hourly minimum wage to increase in the following increments (Sec. 1):

• $9.50 per hour by January 1, 2020;

• $10.75 per hour by January 1, 2021; and

• $12.00 per hour by January 1, 2022.

• Requires tipped employees to receive a base pay of no less than 50 percent of the applicable minimum hourly rate (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes employees to pay youth employees who are 17 years old or younger, one less dollar per hour than the minimum hourly rate (Sec. 2).
