Vote to pass a bill that authorizes marijuana dispensaries to contract with licensed transporters to deliver medical marijuana.

Highlights:

• Prohibits any individual recently incarcerated within the previous 5 years from qualifying for a medical marijuana dispensary license (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes a licensed medical marijuana dispensary to contract with a licensed medical marijuana transporter to deliver medical marijuana, medical marijuana concentrate, and medical marijuana products to a licensed medical marijuana patient or licensed medical marijuana caregiver for the purchase or delivery of medical marijuana, medical marijuana concentrates, or medical marijuana products (Sec. 1).

• Requires the dispensary to verify that the patient or caregiver is qualified to purchase or receive a delivery or medical marijuana, medical marijuana concentrates, or medical marijuana products (Sec. 1).

• Requires a patient or caregiver to provide the following information to a dispensary in order to verify that the patient or caregiver is qualified to receive a delivery of medical marijuana, medical marijuana concentrates, or medical marijuana products, including (Sec. 1):

• The name and date of birth of the patient or caregiver;

• The 24-character identification number assigned to the medical marijuana patient or caregiver license;

• If the patient is under 18, the name and date of birth of the parent or legal guardian of the patient;

• The address of the residence where the order will be delivered; and

• Any other information required by the State Department of Health.

• Prohibits a medical marijuana transporter from delivering medical marijuana, medical marijuana concentrates, or medical marijuana products to a licensed patient, parent, or legal guardian or caregiver more than once per day to the same individual (Sec. 2).

• Requires a medical marijuana transporter to inspect the state-issued identification card of the patient or caregiver and verify that the information provided at the time matches the name and age on the state-issued identification card of the patient or caregiver (Sec. 2).

• Requires a medical marijuana transporter to only deliver medical marijuana, medical marijuana concentrates, and medical marijuana products to a private residence (Sec. 2).
