Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds to the Missouri Departments of Economic Development, Commerce & Insurance and Labor & Industrial Relations.

Highlights:

• Appropriates $105 million to the Business and Community Solutions Division for the Community Development Block Grant Program (Sec. 7.030).

• Appropriates $30 million to the Department of Economic Development for a program to provide grants to small businesses incorporated in the state with 50 or fewer employees, to reimburse the costs of business interruption caused by required closures in connection with the COVID-19 public health emergency, provided that no grants are provided to franchise or chain business entities, and further provided that one-quarter of funds under such program are allocated to family-owned farms (Sec. 7.031).

• Appropriates $31.84 million for Missouri supplemental tax increment financing (Sec. 7.045)

• Appropriates $16 million to the Missouri One Start Community College New Jobs Training Program for the training of workers by community college districts (Sec. 7.090).

• Appropriates $4.45 million to the Missouri Housing Development Commission for general administration of affordable housing activities (Sec. 7.135).

• Appropriates $3.92 million for competitive grants to eligible institutions of higher education based on a process and criteria jointly determined by the State Board of Nursing and the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (Sec. 7.490).

• Appropriates $105.06 million to the Division of Workers’ Compensation for payment of special claims (Sec. 7.845).

• Appropriates $28 million to the Division of Employment Security for the administration of programs authorized and funded by the United States Department of Labor, such as Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) (Sec. 7.885).
