Vote to adopt a conference report that appropriates education funding for fiscal year 2021.

Highlights:

• Appropriates $3.92 billion for distribution to public schools under the School Foundation Program, provided that no funds are used to support the distribution or sharing of any individually identifiable student data for non-educational purposes (Sec. 2.015).

• Appropriates $208.44 million for distributions to public schools under the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (Sec. 2.016).

• Appropriates $30 million for distributions of the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Funds to public schools under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (Sec. 2.017).

• Appropriates $2 billion for public schools from the Federal Stimulus Fund (Sec. 2.018).

• Appropriates $321.44 million for the School Nutrition Services Program to reimburse schools for school food programs (Sec. 2.020).

• Appropriates $3 million for the Commissioner of Education to provide funds to public schools, eligible for Federal E-rate reimbursement, to be used as a state match of up to 10 percent of E-rate eligible special construction costs under the Federal E-rate program, and to provide additional funds to eligible public schools (Sec. 2.085).

• Appropriates $260 million for improving the academic achievement of disadvantaged programs operated by local education agencies (Sec. 2.125).
