Vote to pass a bill that prohibits employers from using tracking devices in their employee's vehicles.

Highlights:

• Prohibits an employer from knowingly using a tracking device or electronic communications device in a vehicle used by an employee that is not provided by the employer (Sec 1).

• Prohibits an employer from using a tracking device or communications device in a vehicle provided by the employer for the employee’s use without obtaining the written consent of the employee (Sec. 1).

• Requires employers who unknowingly violate any provision of this law to be subject to a civil penalty of up to $1,000 for the first violation and $2,500 for each subsequent violation (Sec. 1).
