Title: Authorizes Public Schools to Display the 10 Commandments in Classrooms
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes public schools to display the 10 commandments in classrooms.
Authorizes schools within the district to post a copy of the 10 commandments in the school or in a classroom (Sec. 1)
Authorizes schools within the district to permit students to recite the pledge of allegiance (Sec. 1)
Establishes immunity from liability for damages resulting from a school’s decision to post the 10 commandments or permit students to recite the pledge of allegiance for (Sec. 2):
The superintendent of public instruction;
School districts;
Schools;
School boards and individual school board members;
Governing boards and individual governing board members; and
Administrators, principals, teachers, and any other school district employed personnel.
