Title: ESG Disclosure Simplification Act of 2021
Vote to pass a bill that requires an issuer of securities to annually disclose to shareholders certain environmental, social, and governance metrics and their connection to the long-term business strategy of the issuer.
Authorizes the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to have the broad authority to require an issuer of securities to annually disclose to shareholders environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics and the long-term business strategy of the issuer (Title I, Sec. 102).
Establishes the Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee and requires they recommend to the SEC policies to facilitate the flow of capital towards environmental sustainable investments, no later than one year after this bill’s passage (Title I, Sec. 105).
