Title: Authorizes $5 Million to Relocate Coal Piles in the City of Green Bay and Brown County

  • Establishes that of the money the governor accepts from the federal government under s. 16.54 pursuant to section 602 of the federal Social Security Act as amended by the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, P.L. 117-2, the governor is to allocate $2,500,000 for a grant to Brown County and $2,500,000 for a grant to the city of Green Bay for the purposes of relocating coal piles currently located near the mouth of the Fox River in the city of Green Bay and revitalizing the neighborhood from which the coal piles are to be relocated (Sec. 1).

  • Requires that the governor, as a condition of the grants, instructs that any grant money awarded under this subsection not encumbered by August 31, 2022 is to be repaid to the state (Sec. 1).
