Highlights:

 

  • Appropriates $400 million for a period not to exceed 30 years for the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home Capital Improvement Act of 2021 in order to replace the existing soldiers' home facility (Sec. 2).

  • Requires the department of veterans affairs to annually file a report on the construction of the new facility to the state legislature by December 31 of each year (Sec. 2).

  • Requires that the aforementioned Holyoke Soldiers’ construction project be completed with representatives of the union trades (Sec. 5).

NOTE: A TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY OF THOSE PRESENT AND VOTING IS REQUIRED TO OVERRIDE A GOVERNOR'S VETO.
