Title: Establishes Protections for LGBTQ Businesses
Vote to pass a bill that establishes protections for LGBTQ businesses.
Classifies LGBTQ-owned businesses as entitled to receive certain information through State business portal, certification as disadvantaged business enterprise under federal law (Sec. 1).
Classifies LGBTQ-owned businesses as eligible for special assistance from Office of Economic Development (Sec. 2).
Establishes that elimination of anti-LGBTQ discrimination is in State’s interest (Sec 3).
Requires Department of Transportation to establish goals for the awarding of contracts to LGBTQ-owned businesses (Sec. 4).
Requires any subcommittee on market participation to review, make recommendations on matters relating to LGBTQ-owned businesses in State cannabis industry (Sec. 5).
