Vote to pass a bill that expands access to absentee voting.

Highlights:

  • Authorizes any individual eligible to vote in a primary or general election to vote by absentee ballot if they are unable to appear at their polling place during the hours of voting for any of the following reasons, including (Sec. 1):

    • They are a member of the armed services of the United States;

    • They are absent from town during their voting period;

    • Illness or physical disability;

    • Their religion forbid secular activity on the day of the primary or general election;

    • They have to work at a different polling place during the hours of the primary or general election on election day; or

    • They have tested positive for COVID-19.

  • Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 2).
