Highlights:

• Repeals the provision prohibiting handguns and other firearms from being possessed or used in any park, historic site, or recreational area (Sec. 3).

• Repeals the requirement that an individual attain a valid weapons carrying license to legally carry a handgun or firearm (Sec. 3).

• Defines “lawful weapons carrier” to include an individual who is not prohibited by law from possessing a weapon or long gun (Sec. 4).

• Authorizes any individual who is a licensed weapons carrier to transport a handgun or long gun in any private passenger motor vehicle
