Vote to pass a bill that reduces the maximum amount of time an individual can receive unemployment benefits.

Highlights:

• Amends the maximum total amount of unemployment benefits payable to eligible individuals from 26 to 16 times the individuals weekly benefit amount, whichever is lesser (Sec. 2).

• Amends unemployment job search requirements to require that unemployed, underemployed, economically disadvantaged, and dislocated workers accept job opportunities offered in a shared work plan while participating in the shared work unemployment compensation program (Sec. 9).

• Establishes that a part-time employee shall be eligible for shared work unemployment compensation program benefits so long as they meet every other work requirement (Sec. 9).
