• Increases firearm misdemeanors into criminal felonies when (Sec. 1): 

• The firarm found was used in commission of a violent crime;

• Their was theft of a handgun.

• Authorizes the state to appeal the decision of a trial court that excludes evidence sought to be included in a criminal trial involving a firearm offense (Sec. 1).
