    • That this limitation no longer applies to political committees once the Secretary of State has issued a certificate of ballot and a designating number for the proposed amendment.

  • Prohibits any person or political committee from making a contribution greater than $1,000 to a candidate for retention as a judge in a district court of appeal, a candidate for legislative office, a candidate for multicounty office, a candidate for county court judge or circuit judge, a candidate for countywide office, or in any election conducted on less than a countywide basis (Sec. 1, pg. 2).

  • Specifies that the aforementioned provisions do not apply to contributions to political parties or affiliated party committees (Sec. 1, Pg. 1).

  • Prohibits a foreign national, including a foreign government or corporation, from making or offering to make either directly or indirectly any contribution or expenditure in connection with any election held in the state (Sec. 1, Pg. 4).

  • Prohibits a local government or person acting on behalf of a local government from expending or authorizing the expenditure of public funds, and prohibits anyone from accepting public funds, for a political advertisement or any other communication sent to electors about an issue, referendum, amendment, or any question subject to a vote of the electors, even if the information provided is factual and does not advocate in one way or the other (Sec. 2, Pg. 4).
