Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for transportation infrastructure improvements.

Highlights:

• Establishes a program for transportation development and improvements (Sec. 1).

• Appropriates $200,000,000 no later than March 1 of each year to the Highway Division of the Department of Transportation for the construction and reconstruction of municipal ways (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes the state treasurer, upon request of the Governor, to issue bonds labeled Commonwealth Transportation Improvement Act of 2022 in order to fund the above appropriation (Sec. 10).

• Amends existing provisions of the acts of 2021 to increase the amount routinely appropriated for infrastructure projects (Secs. 3-9).
