Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for the University of Arkansas.

Highlights:

• Establishes the maximum number of regular employees and maximum annual salaries for the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, with the highest amount being $453,380 for the Dean of Business Administration (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the University to hire a maximum of 3,208 part-time or temporary workers as needed and paid accordingly (Sec. 2).

• Appropriates $145,972,997 from the University of Arkansas Fund to the University for paying personal services and operating expenses, including the above mentioned extra workers, for the 2022-2023 fiscal year (Sec. 3).

• Appropriates an additional $1,005,050,000 in cash funds to the University for paying personal services and operating expenses for the 2022-2023 fiscal year (Sec. 4).

• Appropriates $800,000 from the University of Arkansas Fund to the University of Arkansas School of Law for the 2022-2023 fiscal year (Sec. 5).

• Appropriates $1,200,000 from the Fund to the University for the Garvan Woodland Gardens operating expenses in the 2022-2023 fiscal year (Sec. 6).

• Appropriates $800,000 from the Electrical Energy Advancement Program fund to the University of Arkansas National Center for Reliable Electric Power Transmission for the 2022-2023 fiscal year (Sec. 7).

• Appropriates $104,784 to the University of Arkansas Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History (Sec. 8).

• Appropriates $260,000 to the University of Arkansas Research and Technology Park (Sec. 9).

• Appropriates $250,000 to the University of Arkansas World Trade Center (Sec. 10).

• Appropriates $250,000 to the University of Arkansas Partners for Inclusive Communities in the College of Education and Health Professions (Sec. 11).

• Appropriates $2,500,000 to the University of Arkansas Ark. Centers for Rural Education in Autism and Related Disabilities (Sec. 12).

• Authorizes the Board of Trustees to expend no more than $10,000 from auxiliary University income for each expense related to the Athletics Department director, associates, and head coaches, and no more than $1,000 for assistant directors and coaches, trainers, and other staff (Sec. 13).

• Specifies that the provisions of this act take effect July 1, 2022 (Sec. 18).
