Vote to pass a bill that requires a 1,000-foot buffer zone between warehouses and "sensitive receptors," including homes, schools, and prisons.

Highlights:

• Requires a minimum of 1,000 feet between buildings of 100,00 square feet or more, including warehouses, and sensitive locations, such as schools, playgrounds, daycare and healthcare facilities, prisons, community centers, residences, and other locations (Sec. 1, Pg. 3).

• Specifies that state agencies may impose alternative measures to reduce the risk to public health and safety from the building or project instead of imposing the aforementioned minimum setback (Sec. 1, Pg. 3).
