Highlights:

 

  • Requires a minimum of 1,000 feet between buildings of 100,00 square feet or more, including warehouses, and sensitive locations, such as schools, playgrounds, daycare and healthcare facilities, prisons, community centers, residences, and other locations (Sec. 1, Pg. 3).

  • Specifies that state agencies may impose alternative measures to reduce the risk to public health and safety from the building or project instead of imposing the aforementioned minimum setback (Sec. 1, Pg. 3).

  • Requires any developing buildings and projects to first release a construction careers agreement that specifies all necessary construction work and repairs as well as the percentage of jobs created that will go to local residents (Sec. 1, Pg. 3 & 4).

  • Authorizes state agencies and school district to levy appropriate and necessary fees (Sec. 4).
