Vote to pass a bill that prohibits organ donor discrimination.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a health care provider from refusing an organ donation or discriminating against an organ donor based on an indvidual’s disability (Sec. 2).

• Exempts a physician who in good faith makes a treatment recommendation or decision that an individual’s disability is medically significant from violating the aforementioned section (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes an individual who believes that a health care provider or facility violeted the aforementioned requirements to commence a civil action for injunctive and other equitable relief (Sec. 2).
