Title: Requires Armed School Resource Officers (SRO) in Schools with 25 Percent Incident Arrest Rates
Vote to pass a bill that requires an armed school resource officer (SRO) by the following school year for schools that have a 25 percent incident arrest rate record.
Requires an armed school resource officer (SRO) by the following school year for schools that have a 25 percent incident arrest rate record per 100 reported incidents (Sec. 1).
Amends the definition for incidents to include incidents related to (Sec. 1):
Homicide;
Sexual assault;
Burglary, robbery, or theft;
Battery, substantial batter, or aggravated batter;
Arson;
Use or possession of alcohol, or controlled substance;
Possession of a firearm; or
A violation related to disorderly conduct.
Establishes that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
