Title: Expands State Tax Credits from $3.5 to $10 Million a Year for Businesses who Provide Assistance for Pregnant Women
Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that expands a tax credit from $3.5 million a year to $10 million a year statewide for people or businesses who donate to centers that provide diapers, clothing and other assistance for pregnant women.
Expands annual tax credits from $3.5 million a year to $10 million a year beginning in 2023 for eligible charitable organizations who donate to centers that provide diapers, clothing and other assistance for pregnant women (Sec. 1).
Defines “eligible charitable organization” as a pregnancy resource center that meets the following criteria, including (Sec. 1):
That no more than 20% of contributions be spent on administrative costs; and
File annually with the secretary of state and IRS.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect January 1, 2023 (Sec. 8).
