Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that repeals cannabis use from the definitions of neglect in child in need of assistance proceedings.
Specifies that neglect does not include the use of cannabis by any parent or individual who has permanent or temporary care of a child unless due to direct usage of cannabine the following occurs (Sec. 1):
The child’s health or welfare is harmed or put at a substantial risk; or
The child has suffered mental injury or has been placed at substantial risk of mental injury.
