Highlights:

• Prohibits an individual from bringing an open container of alcohol into a motor vehicle unless specified (Sec. 1)

• Specifies that open containers may be transported in a motor vehicle if they are the following (Sec. 1): 

• In a locked compartment; 

• In the trunk of a motor vehicle;

• Any part of the motor vehicle not accessible by the driver.

• Specifies that this does not apply to passengers of buses, taxis, or limousines (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that this does not apply to motor home, travel trailer, or mobile home passengers (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that whoever violates this shall receive a civil penalty of $50 plus administrative costs (Sec. 1).
