Title: Increases Access to State Disability Services
Vote to pass a bill that increases access to state disability services by reducing the age requirements for caregivers to apply for services.
Increases and expands access to state disability services for Florida families by reducing the age requirements for caregivers to apply for services (Sec. 1).
Appropriates $39 million in recurring funds from the state general budget to the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) to offer waiver services to individuals who have been on a waitlist for iBudget services (Sec. 1).
Requires the agency develop and implement an online application process for caregivers and reduces the eligibility determination timeframes for specific individuals from 60 to 45 days (Sec. 1).
Requires individuals to be better informed of the Consumer-Directed Care (CDC) Plus program (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect beginning July 1, 2024 (Sec. 9).
