Title: Requires a License Authorizing an Individual to Carry a Loaded Handgun in this State to Include Sellers Information
Vote to pass a bill to requires a license authorizing an individual to carry a loaded pistol or revolver in the state of New Hampshire to include the sellers information.
Authorizes the Department of Public Safety and Welfare to issue a license to applicants approving the carry of a loaded pistol or revolver in the state (Sec. 1).
Establishes the following as the proper purpose of applying for a firearm (Sec. 1):
Hunting;
Target shooting; and
Self-defense.
Authorizes licenses to be valid for all allowable purposes regardless of the purpose for which it was originally issued (Sec. 1).
Requires the criteria that will be made visible on the license: name, address, and signature of the individual issuing the license (Sec. 1).
Requires the license issuer to preserve the duplicate license for 5 years from the date of issue (Sec. 1).
Establishes that the license shall be issued within 14 days after application (Sec.1).
Establishes a $10 fee for licenses issued to residents of the state (Sec. 1).
Requires a $100 fee for licenses granted to out-of-state residents (Sec. 1).
Authorizes any law enforcement officer who issues a license in good faith to be immune from liability arising from misconduct with a firearm committed by an individual who was issued a firearm license (Sec. 2).
Establishes the effective date as 60 days after the bill's passage (Sec. 3).
