Vote to pass a bill that requires developers of any AI model post on their website information regarding the data used to train the model beginning in January 1, 2026 in California.

Highlights:

• Requires a developer of an artificial intelligence (AI) system or service to post on the developer’s website documentation the data used to train the AI system or service and a high-level summary of the datasets used in development before an AI system or service is made available for Californians to use regardless of whether the terms include compensation, starting on January 1, 2026 (Title 15.2, Sec. 3110).

• Requires the high-level summary to use information reasonably available to the developer or if they are unable to locate information, requires the developer to post a description of the methods used to search for information, for an AI system or service made available for use before January 1, 2025 (Title 15.2, Sec. 3110).
