Vote to override a Governor's veto and pass a bill that establishes a renewable energy standard in Vermont.

Highlights:

  • Requires a retail electricity provider to purchase 63% of their energy from renewable sources starting from January 1, 2025 and increasing by 4% percent every January 1 after until it reaches 100% on January 1, 2035 (if they serve a single customer at 115 gigavolts or are a municipal retail electricity provider formed under local charter or Chapter 79 of the title) or on January 1, 2030 for any other retail electricity provider (Sec. 4. 30 V.S.A. § 8005).
